We would like an app specifically designed for subcontractors, which easily allows them to mark their work as complete, make comments, reminds them of tasks/forms outstanding etc. It would also be useful to have this app available on smartphones and not just Tablets

I think the fundamental problem here is the whole way that mobile devices are set up and managed.
The system seems to be designed for a tablet to sit on the site managers desk for anyone to log into. In reality people do not do this.
I read this suggestion as a request to have an app that (anyone?) subbies can have on their devices, that we do not have to set up in the system - that just logs in using their user name and password. This would allow them to see their tasks and have some basic interaction.

For anyone on this list who voted for a new app. What is accomplished by having a separate app from Field View? We are working on an initiative to schedule forms and eventually tasks as well.
