The password complexity is way too difficult for trades and others looking to use the system. The complexity of the password creation needs to made much simpler so that those with little computer experience do not have to dilly dally with caps, numbers, special characters and a large minimum number of characters. We do not need bank grade security.

Agree with David and Charley - it is far too awkward for personnel in the field using mobile devices to be dealing with caps and special characters - it should be up to the organisation to set the complexity of passwords

I absolutely agree with David (and Ryan) on this and hope that this suggestion has more success.
The password complexitiy as I've stated many, many, many times should be set by the BU admin. As admins we should decide the complexity, not Viewpoint. We can then decide whether to revert back to a simpler password strength or make it even more complex. Our data, our risk, our choice.
I really do hope that Viewpoint makes the right decision here.

I raised this suggestion under the title "Password complexity should be a customer defined setting" about 3 months ago and despite having 21 votes and 13 comments (at time of writing) it has been categorised as "will not implement". Hopefully this one will have more success.
