Ammend Auto save function

Your present Auto save system does not save the form in it's present state!

The Auto save function works all the time. If the auto save operates after the space bar is pressed, the space is ignored and the cursor goes back to the last letter, so that as you type you lose the spaces between letters requiring more typing to sort out the blunders introduced by your poor software.

Who will benefit? Everybody!

    Hi Betsie,

    I have raised this issue repeatedly, support in the UK are well aware of it as was our account manager who I took up this matter and a whole list of usability issues shortly after signing up to use Field View.

    The problem is what I call “greedy save” it takes more than it needs when saving, and it only happens in FV New!!! Basically, unless you know what you are going to say, can touch type and type fast enough that you never pause for more than 2.9 secs.. the auto save will always remove something needed.

    I’m not sure if the reason the dev’s programmed auto save in “FV New” is to trim from the end excess so you’re not storing empty data, i.e. all that extra white space people add, or constantly press return at the end and not realising there is 20 addition whitespace and 7 “carriage return’s”. But if you’re not trimming on the tablet or in FV Classic, then you shouldn’t be trimming in FV New. If you want/need to trim empty space, do it database side as part of your daily maintenance don’t trim while we are still trying to complete our work.

    This is still an active issue, please make New view work like classic/old and the tablet.. if you want me to show the problem i can make a quick video to highlight the issue.
