Would be a perfectly logical structure as the path for each BU is unique. However, it isn't an option as the system flattens the structure.

Any update on this? We have some projects that need to move to different BU but don't want to lose the data that is already in the project by recreating it.

Business structures change with regional boundaries moving to encompass different projects.
For example a North / South split may be fine to start with, but when this changes to a North / Midlands / South split due to the number of projects increasing. A number of projects will need to be moved from the 2 previous regions to the newly created "Midlands" region.
