I need to be able to reference when a form template was created and when it was assigned to a project etc., basically an audit trail regarding system governance. Same for tasks and processes.

This information is currently not available and would be a very good idea for suggestion box. This might be something that can be achieved with API (made by Pi) which is third party software.
