This issue was raised about 4 years ago.
The parent form child form dependency does not work, such that if a child form is raised in a parent form, the parent form can be closed without closing the child form, even when the box is ticked in Permissions for the parent and child forms.
This has so many potential uses for assisting manage QA and forcing Hold Points, it's overdue being fixed.
