Amending a process without un assigning to the locations

We may need to make small amendments to a process i.e we have had another item added to our scope of works, whilst on site.

Currently to change the process I would have to un assign the process to all locations it has been assigned to (which will delete any previous work), I would then have to amend the process and assign this again to the locations. Could you review this so the process can be amended at any stage without deleting previous work and it will automatically assign to the previous locations?
