Forms Scheduling - Improvements required

Now that this has been implemented, can the intended function be looked at?  This does not actually do what would commonly be expected out of a scheduled form.  All that happens is that the person who has raised the schedule request and any recipients named (as per instructions for this function) receive an email that a form has been raised.  The form is raised in the name of the originator.  What we as a company and most probably most other construction companies in the UK would need from the function would be the following

 

  • Form should be attributed to the recipient, not the originator – If I raise 5 of the same form name for people to complete, they would not know which one applies to them.  I could not trust them to manage the schedule themselves.
  • I need to know that the form is becoming overdue and really, the only time that I would want a notification is at the point of being overdue.  I have no need for an email every day to tell me a form has been created.
  • I am also not bothered about creating a form to open status.  This means that the users have to navigate to choose a form that has already been opened rather than creating a new form themselves. 

 

  • The best scenario would be to be able to schedule that a submittal of a particular form from a particular user is required and to be notified if this case is not met
  • A dashboard showing this would be fantastic

    Having looked at scheduling agree completely with the above points and improvement. We are looking to utilise this for our H&S forms and it has the potential to be an amazing addition. I would also like to add a point that we raise all of our H&S forms against a specific location in the geometry so they all in the same place, we could really use an option to choose the location that the scheduled form will be raised.

    Hi Graeme,

    Just wanted to put this out here so everyone could see since you and I have communicated on this issue.  We only released the first phase of scheduled forms.  There is a lot more work to do here, reporting and notifications will be important next steps.

    I'm going to mark this ticket as in review as I don't want to lose your thoughts here but this was the plan and a lesson to us on making that more clear as we roll out in phases.
