To be able to assign new forms to projects from the Business Forms Configuration page rather than having to move to each project in turn selecting new forms from a long list of forms one at a time and then assigning them.
This would have made the deployment of forms to all projects at the point at which we decided to deploy forms to projects a quicker and easier prospect. As it is we have 135 forms to deploy across around 65 projects which using the current method will take a few hours to complete.
In the future when we develop a new suite of forms it would seriously enhance the experience and reduce man hours if we could deploy all new forms from one screen assigning them to multiple projects.

Hi Denise, I would say that the option to Right Click on a Template and assign it to selected projects would help to greatly reduce the burden of assigning new templates to projects.

Hi - Is there enough value to adding a new "right-click" feature to each template where you could assign a new template to all selected projects? Or is the real ask that there be an entirely new feature where all selected templates are assigned to all selected projects? The first one would be easier to implement.

It's great that this is now in the "Future consideration" pile, but there doesn't appear to be any comment from Viewpoint apart from that.
Could it be an option to add it to the API in the first instance? The GetProjectFormTemplate() command returns the FormTemplateLinkID, the GetProjects() command returns the project ID and there are other options for assigning values within the database structure. It would be a valid work around to be able to assign a new form to one project, get the FormTemplateLinkID from that project and then run an API script to assign the FormTemplateLinkID to each project ID in turn.

This is a very needed feature! Yes it is very time consuming to assign that newly created form to all of your projects. We already have the ability to push a revised form to all associated projects so why can we not push a new form to all active projects? Please add this feature.

This would be incredibly useful. The functionality already exists within (Configure form templates) to see what projects a form is already assigned to but this could be greatly enhanced to be able to remove a form from those projects or add a form to multiple to other projects from that same right click menu.

All I need to do is change the name of a form, but the only way to do it is copy the original as a new name. This wouldn't be much hassle... apart from the fact that I will then need to switch to each of our 136 projects in turn and assign the new form to each. This makes should be a few minute job into a few hour job!
The same is true when assigning new Task Types, Causes, Users etc. The system works for a company with a few projects, but has serious scaling issues as it stands.

Agreed - this is incredibly time consuming!
Would really assist if forms could be applied to all or even specific projects from the Form Configuration page when the form is first created. This task has cost me hours of time so far and is very frustrating as it is quite a labour intensive task, especially as you can't just "skip" to the next project in the project list like you are able to in Vista.
Instead you have to open the dropdown, scroll and select and wait for the page to load.

Agreed - this is very time consuming at the moment. We have the ability to add a new version of an existing form to all projects but not a brand new form?
