there is a character limit of 100 when trying to populate a good answer, default answer or predefined answer, however there is no such limit entering text on the tablet. We have a text question which is "Description of Works", 100 characters just isn't enough, a 200 characters would enough but better would be to simply remove the restriction. if i can type a paragraph on the tablet i should be able to use that same text as a good answer/default answer also.

To the guest comment, yes exactly! the whole reason we preload answers/good/default etc is so that the people in the field do not have to retype word for word the same answer on each visit / new form for something which is a statement or doesn't change or is simply longer then the dev team envisioned would be needed. We're trying to make their jobs easier not harder, this will save countless hours by people in field. While I dont use long predefined answers, i completely agree that you shouldn't be limited to so few characters.

I think we're talking about the same thing but I agree. Remove the character count on creating predefined answers. I said already, you can write a paragraph but not do the same for predefined. That would take away the typing and make working more efficient and faster on site
