Optional automated notification for workflow statuses

Please make an automated notification an option when creating workflow statuses. We want an email to go out whenever a certain status is selected. The email would go to whomever is on the package. For example, if we change a task status to rejected we want the trade to receive an email of all their rejected tasks from that day.

    I think this would be a great improvement to have a report sent out whenever a status change is done. The trades/responsible firm, would then have notification right away.

    Yes, having the similar type of distribution setup as the forms would work well. Especially, if it includes the ability to modify the distribution lists in the Business Unit and on the Project level.

    I like the idea of adding "Issued to Package" along with "Issued to Organization" on a task type basis.

    Would the system compile a report similar to the current task report except it would contain all the chosen status changes including new tasks identified that day? In our case, we would want a compiled report of all rejected snags & new tasks identified that day for each organization & package.

    The current task report is compiled and grouped by "Package", and "Issued to Organization" would these report be grouped in the same way?

    Hi All, I was thinking that this functionality would copy the existing 'form distribution' functionality whereby users/Organisations can be notified on a status change on a template by template basis. With tasks we would have to extend this to users/organisations and packages on a task type basis.

    Any thoughts?

    This would be invaluable to get the rejected items sent back to the contractor so that the contract owners are seeing that the task has been rejected. This might spur them to check on their site supervisor to see why things were not completed correctly.

    This would be very useful, it doesn't even make sense to reject a pin if the trade doesn't know about it.

    Yes,this is exactly what we need.Any instrument to keep field view in front of the subtrades.So that it is always present.This with a required response prompt would be ideal.

    It could/should generate a report like the current built in function that is triggered by a task being marked as complete - it's just that existing function is very specific to the complete status and doesn't help if/when a task is switched back to something else like Rejected (i.e. re-opened)

    For us this would be on a task basis, though I could see the potential of being useful for reports.

    This would be very useful and linking it to specific statuses per workflow would give a great deal of flexibility to companies.
