Yes please - 30 character limit is not enough for detail needed for our questions

I would argue that it should appear because it provides a space for us to document more information due to the frustrating word count limit for questions, but then you will need to see both of them when you create a report.

    Hi Betsie,

    Thank you for the reply.

Obviously both options would be ideal, for example...

    In the following question:

Are ventilation and combustion air arrangements adequate to meet manufacturers recommendations and Building Regulations

BS 5440 Part 2 (below 60kW) BS 6644 (above 60kW) and CIBSE Guide B3. (Refer table SES-F-TS-110 - for guidance).

The section in bold is the question and the italics is the Advice field. When this is viewed on the device it satisfies all requirements for showing what the engineer is signing to say he has inspected. However, the printed document would imply that he wasn't given the information and he could claim that he wasn't informed.

If the question field is extended to allow for all the text to be entered as part of the question, it would look terrible and the key element of the question wouldn't be as clear. However other questions that don't split so neatly into sections as shown above would certainly benefit from a longer character limit.

I think the best option would be to do both.  Increase the question length and also have an option in the form properties for showing the question advice in a report.

Thanks for the use case that gives us some options on how best to solve the problem.  I think we should look into providing more character space for the actual question.

Due to the length limit for the question, the advice field is often used for the remainder of the question and not just an instruction to the operator.

Although this means that the whole question is visible when viewing it in either the web or mobile app, it is not shown when a report is run/printed.  This can result in answers making little sense related to the abbreviated question.
