Submit Your Suggestions For Field View

Expand the Analyse capabilities to include data from multiple entry fields

This would be useful for any project where you are not wanting a hundred different forms for the plethora of items that are, in my instance, surveilled and subsequently wanting to be recorded. My understanding of the Field View application was that processes like filling in forms and analysing data was meant to be minimised, but by excluding multiple entries being analysed, you are forcing us to create separate forms for every piece of data that will need to be tallied in the Form Answers Frequency table, which will probably be more arduous than doing it all on a paper-based system.

From my point of view (i.e. looking at the Form Answers Frequency table) it should be quite an easy addition to enable multiple different entries to be counted from the one question from the one form.

I completely agree being able to analyse answers that are stored within a table would revolutionise my world. Would love to see this implemented ASAP.

    Hi Betsie

I would like to see this function available for tables of questions in forms. At the moment the only way to extract information answered in tables either dynamic or fixed is via API.

An example is our daily site log form where users have one line for an activity where details of plant, labour and materials are completed along with progress and RAG statuses. There are 000s of these on our projects and we need to analyse the detail somehow without needing to set up complex API calls

    Best regards, john

    Hi Betsie,

Absolutely this is still a must for Viewpoint.

Field View's inbuilt analysis function is good but adding the ability to analyse data in tables would make it great.

Currently I have to configure a form that I want to analyse later to be almost 4x as long as needed as I need to split the information into groups with multiple entry points (not with the "add additional answer" because you also can't analyse this function). And so my site managers and project managers need to scroll for a while to get to the next question and get to the end of the form, when actually if we could analyse the data in tables, this could be done in one page.

    Three pros:

Less time configuring forms for administrators

Less time completing forms for end users

Less time pulling data and massaging it to correctly display in BI programs for administrators

This would be a massive improvement to the system, put you heads above your competitors and win some "hearts and minds" both in an admin and end user perspective.

Whole hardheartedly agree. There is a real trade off to be made between the nice neat forms that you can create if you use table or being able to access your data to analyse it. If FV could allow us to access the data in tables alongside the normal fields, to analyse in a comprehensive way this would be a HUGE improvement.

    Hi Betsie

We could still do with this. We currently have a lot of forms that utilise tables and multiple data entries. It would MASSIVELY benefit the analyse function + future form creation (as some forms would be better suited to creation in a different format if we could analyse the data) if this function was expanded upon.

    Hi all

I realize this is an older request but I do want to follow up.  Are you still seeking this improvement on the analyze function or have you been able to solve this data issue through exporting or dashboard reports?

If not, please help me understand a bit more specifically what business need you need to resolve.

I agree.  The best way to show some data in a report is to use the table, but we need to extract this data from multiple forms

It would be useful for organisations that do not have many forms but rather a few forms that constantly are used and have a table embedded in the form. Extracting that data to analyze would be superb.
