When a drawing is processed through the system, it should assign a QR or bar code and stamp it on the drawing. Subsequently when anyone then scans the QR code using any old generic reader - a short info page is returned to the device. Basically saying the name of the drawing and a big green tick or a red cross indicating if it is the current version or not. This allows any manager or subcontractor on site to make sure that the latest versions are in use without having to refer back to the site office or drawing register.
