We have to add 20-30 new devices every week, each with a unique identifier assigned by the company. There needs to be a way to quickly add these as a lot of the data is common to batches of devices. This is such an admin heavy task, and the new process developed for adding these doesn't work as it relies on a system generated number rather than the asset number we use

Perhaps devices can access projects from the user instead Viewpoint?
Currently a user picks up a device and selects the project they want to log into, if they want to add a new project they need to "switch" and enter new device details which need to be created on the web. This is admin time heavy for the administrator and end user.
Instead it would be great to pick up a device and the user logs into the application and selects from the projects they have access to. This would be similar to how VFP app works, Procore, Plangrid, Team, etc
The sync could still take place in the background when the user selects the project they want to work on.
This would make life easier for the administrator and the end user.
