A function to allow the app to sync at regular intervals, for example overnight, every 2 hours or when charging.
This would allow users to leave devices charging and in range of wifi overnight, knowing that the tablets will be ready to grab and go first thing in the morning. It might also provide a back up against users forgetting to sync the app after completing forms.

Hi Amelia,
Auto syncing will be divided into two phases. The first is a background sync that when a user has data connectivity they no longer have to log out to sync their data. The second is a transaction sync that allows the user to receive data when there is a data connection without have to log out first. The intent is allow any data that one would normally send out or upload to do so in the background instead of the current disruptive process.

When there be some type of time stamp that shows the last time this was synced. I know there is one but you have to log out to see that. It would be nice to see that time stamp in the project maybe in the menu screen.

Auto sync could combine or integrate with notifications > when online, then push 'pop-up' info about new Iiems directly (just like ‘new mail’ in Outlook) on mobile device. No emails is needed, you will get an instant message when items are assigned to you plus be able to navigate via 'unread / new' filter.
