From memory, Processes are linked to packages, when means that we cannot setup common Processes for all our contractors.

In the situation where we have sub contractor to sub contractors such as the controls contractor as a sub of Mechanical. When the consultants go through and do a check of the VAV units and see some issues with the valves for them which may be either by the controls contractor or the mechanical contractor or the heating contractor. This way they would all be notified of the task and could work out who is actually responsible.
Also in an instance where there is a divided scope between two contractors there may be areas where the overlap and the task needs to be notified to both parties.
I’m sure there are other instances where this may be useful but until I am involved I would not be sure what is helpful.
