Wates Group would like this functionality as well.

    Hi Barry

Please find attached a form with a photo imported from Gallery that has been timestamped using a free app called “Camera Auto Timestamp 2.10” – note the difference in the timestamp to the FV time. There is no detriment to the photo if the size of the stamping is suitable.

We have had some issues where quite a lot of users are snapping away in camera mode then importing from Gallery, the importing, but this can be potentially days later. Also if photos are taken from the app and used elsewhere or copied from the forms then there is potential to lose the FV insertion time.

Even though I make the timestamping mandatory in the app, it will not timestamp the images when the camera runs in FV.

    Best regards, John

I think that having proof on the photo (for when it’s printed) is why there’s this requirement. Should it be taken out of FV, this information may still be required.

As long as the text wasn’t centered and instead, offset to the bottom corner (or if visibility is an issue, a white text bar added along the bottom maybe?) then it shouldn’t be an issue.

Question: Won't the printing of the Time/Date/GPS directly on the photo interfere with the viewer's ability to see the photo? I understand the need, but might there be a better method than to stamp the date/time on the photo itself?

This is a definite requirement on the Hinkley Point C Project (on which LOR are also planning to use FV).  Please implement ASAP.  GPS not so important but could be useful.  Timestamp definitely required as sometimes the users take photos on the tablet and bring them into forms later, and the system gives them the time added to the template.

Willmott Dixon would also like this functionality.  Some sites are mandating this and at present, users are having to take the photo outside of FV, stamp the photo and then gallery upload.
